Edwin shares his story
Hey Edwin, can you tell us about yourself?
I’m a data Analytics and AI Solution Advisor with SAP based in SIngapore, and a lifelong data geek. Outside work, I unwind by exploring new gadgets and spending time with my family and three kids.
How did you first find Gyroscope?
Back in early 2013, the Fitbit One kickstarted my tracking. As my data sprawled across apps and devices, I needed a single, automated place to aggregate, analyze, and visualize—no manual effort.
Gyroscope’s seamless integrations, elegant visualizations, and long‑term metrics made it the backbone of my quantified‑self setup, stitching together all my sensors and turning years of data into insights I could actually use.
I started with it purely for visualizations, but later the Food X-Ray feature made nutrition tangible.
The early manual logging was too laborious; the later AI upgrades made it effortless and consistent, turning meal photos into macros and trends I could act on without micromanaging.
Nice! Yeah the AI food tracking has been a game changer for many people. How has it helped you achieve your goals?
Gyroscope gave me continuity and clarity, allowing me to spot patterns and habits. I went on a journey to cut my carbs gradually and also to ensure that my protein stayed up. Food tracking helped maintain consistency without overthinking.
Over a few months, that feedback loop kept me on track and made the changes stick.
Love to hear it! What's been your favorite feature so far, and why?
Food tracking and aggregated metrics in a single place made the plan measurable, and of course beautiful visualisations!
What do you find the hardest aspect of health to keep on top of right now?
Tracking is easy, but less perfect at routines and intentional habits.
How would you describe Gyroscope to someone new?
Gyroscope turned years of my data into clear, motivating visuals. At least for me these help me with daily decisions that compound into healthier habits.
