Gyroscope’s privacy system means your data is stored securely, and we don’t send data to Facebook or big social media companies for ad targeting. This means more privacy, but also means we rely on our members to help share and spread the word.

Reviews are one of the biggest things that help new people find Gyroscope. They help keep the app visible in App Store rankings, make the listing look healthy and trustworthy, and give us a much better chance of continuing to reach new users.

If you are finding Gyroscope useful, we ask that you post your app review. This helps keep prices low and the app available for our current members, as well as helps us reach many other people out there who are trying to improve their health.

However, posting a review isn’t quite as simple as just opening the app store and typing something. There are a few issues that sometimes block people—the most important being you can’t be on an iOS beta version. Please see the instructions below for more details on how to post.

If Gyroscope has been helpful for you, posting a review is one of the simplest ways to support what we are building. It really does help the mission, and it is one of the easiest ways for our own users to help share the app.

Before you start

This page is the fastest way to make sure your review actually goes through. If you tried before and nothing seemed to happen, the main issue we found was this: Apple often does not count reviews submitted from iPhones that are still on an iOS beta build.

The confusing part is that you usually will not see any warning. The flow can look completely normal, it can seem like the review was sent, and yet nothing actually shows up.

There is a second source of confusion too. If you posted a review before January 2026, when V9 launched, you may still see your old review already sitting there. But for this current version (V10), you’ll still need to open it again and press the blue send arrow so it gets re-submitted.

So this guide covers both cases: first, make sure your phone is on the official public iOS release. Second, if you previously joined before January 2026, you’ll need to just push the blue submit button again it so it counts now.

Step 1: Check whether your iPhone is on a beta build

On current iPhone software, open Settings and go to General → Software Update → Beta Updates.

If Beta Updates says Off, you are already on the official public release and can skip to Step 3.

If it says something like iOS Beta, Developer Beta, or Public Beta, switch it off first. We have seen that reviews submitted from beta devices often look like they worked, but never actually come through.

Step 2: Switch to the official iOS release

After turning Beta Updates off, go back to Software Update and install the current public iOS release.

If your phone is still showing a beta build, finish the update first and then come back to the App Store after the phone is on the official release. If you were only on beta for testing new features earlier in the year, you probably do not need it any more for this.

Step 3: Open Gyroscope in the App Store

Search for Gyroscope in the App Store and open the app page. Scroll down to the Ratings & Reviews section, then tap Write a Review.

If you already reviewed the app before, that is fine. You can still open the same review screen again.

Step 4: If you posted before January 2026, re-submit it

If you posted your review before January 2026, open Write a Review again and press the blue send arrow one more time.

Your previous star rating and written review should usually still be there. You normally do not need to rewrite everything from scratch, but you do need to re-send it.

If you already posted successfully during 2026, you are done.

Step 5: If you have never posted before, keep it simple

You do not need to write a long essay. A short sentence, a quick description of how you use the app, or even just a few words is enough.

The important part is that the review is submitted from the official iOS release and that the final send button is actually pressed.

Quick FAQ

I can already see my old review. Do I still need to do anything?

If it was posted before January 2026, yes. Most of our users have been with us for years, or even a decade. This is awesome, but it means your original reviews are not being counted now. However, you should be able to easily re-post. Open Write a Review again, and simply press the blue send arrow. Then it will be submitted again for the current cycle.

It looked like my review worked before. Why are you asking me to try again?

Because this was the confusing part: for many people, the flow looked normal and like it worked, but the review never actually was posted. There are two reasons for this: 1) it was more than a year ago 2) It was posted from an iOS beta-build, which Apple rejects.

I am on the TestFlight build, is that ok?

That should be ok. All that matters is the iOS version.

What should I write?

Anything honest is great. You don’t need to wait until you have reached all your goals to post. A short note about what you are currently using Gyroscope for, what changed for you, or what feature you like most is great. Or even your favorite health tip you want to share with the public. Please don’t give yourself writers block trying to write a masterpiece. Just a few sentences is fine, what matters more is just that everyone shares their story and people can see the patterns.

Thank you

Every review helps more people find the app, helps keep the App Store listing healthy, and makes it much easier for us to move on to more interesting parts of the roadmap.
