The MCP Bridge connects the AI tools you already use to your Gyroscope account.

Once it is set up, Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can look up your sleep, food, workouts and Health Score while you talk to them. They can log things for you too. The answers come from your own numbers, with the same kind of tools your Gyroscope coach uses.

Setup takes about a minute. Here is when to use it, how to connect, and recipes you can copy.

Your coach or your AI

Your Gyroscope coach uses the same kind of tools inside the app. The tools in the app are more tested and guided. Your coach knows your goals and your plan, remembers what you talk about, and checks in every morning, so it is the best place for the day to day.

The bridge is more raw, and what your AI does with your data is up to you. That makes it great when you want to play with your data your own way:

  • Bigger analysis. Months or years of sleep, food, workouts and places in one go, looking for the patterns you care about.
  • Files and custom reports. Spreadsheets, PDFs, charts and dashboards you download and keep on your computer.
  • Things outside health coaching. Planning a trip, finding restaurants you will like, or looking up the latest studies on your own blood levels.
  • Automations across your apps. If your AI is also connected to your calendar, email or notes, one request can touch all of them.
  • Staying where you are. If you are already in Claude, say in the middle of coding, you can log lunch without switching apps.

Connect your AI

You only connect once. After that, just ask. Every app uses the same connector URL:

https://mcp.gyrosco.pe/mcp

Claude

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Paste in the URL and choose Connect.
  4. Sign in on gyrosco.pe and choose what to share.

It works on claude.ai, the Claude desktop and phone apps, and every Claude plan. The MCP Bridge page also has a shortcut button that fills in these steps for you.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Under Advanced, turn on Developer mode.
  3. Choose Create, name it Gyroscope and paste in the URL.
  4. Sign in on gyrosco.pe and choose what to share.

Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan.

Other apps

The MCP Bridge page has steps for Gemini and Grok as well. Any other app that supports MCP connectors can use the same URL.

If you use Claude Code, add it from your terminal, then type /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in:

claude mcp add --transport http gyroscope https://mcp.gyrosco.pe/mcp

Choose what to share

When you sign in, Gyroscope shows exactly what the connection includes before you allow it.

  • Always included: your day summaries, food, sleep, steps, workouts and Health Score, plus basic account details like your timezone.
  • Logging: on by default, so your AI can save the meals, workouts and measurements you ask it to. Untick it if you only want answers.
  • Sensitive data: blood labs, glucose and ketones, Places, DNA and your journal each have their own switch. They stay off unless you turn them on.

You can change these any time in Connected apps in your account. Changes apply to the next question you ask, with no need to connect again. If your AI asks for something you have not shared, it gives you the link to switch it on.

Simple things to try

Start with something simple. Your AI picks the right tools, works out the dates in your timezone, and answers with your own numbers.

  • How did I do yesterday?
  • Does coffee after 2pm change my sleep? Run the numbers.
  • What were my five most-logged meals last month?
  • What was my best week this year, and what was different about it?

Recipes to copy

Your AI can use several tools in one request, then hand you the result as a chart or a file. Copy any of these into Claude or ChatGPT and change the details to fit you.

  • Dinners and a shopping listLook at the meals I logged most in Gyroscope over the last month. Plan next week’s dinners from foods I already like, with my protein target each day, and put the shopping list in my notes.

What your AI can work with

The bridge gives your AI a few dozen tools. Here is what they cover, so you know what to ask for.

  • Days and weeks. A recap of any day, up to a week at a time, with your Health Score, food totals, sleep, steps, workouts and places.
  • Trends over a year. Weekly or monthly totals for steps, sleep, calories, protein, weight, workouts, Health Score, resting heart rate and HRV.
  • Raw history. The rows behind your data, like every meal, night, weigh-in, workout and heart rate, and even the music you played. Lighter kinds come a year at a time, and busy ones like heart rate a month at a time.
  • Lifts. Every exercise, set, weight and rep, with your estimated one-rep max over time.
  • Body. Weight, bodyfat, blood pressure, temperature and DEXA notes.
  • Your coach’s view. The coach’s summaries for sleep, food, fitness, mind and more, plus your current focus and action plan.
  • Context. The weather where you were, your computer time and your current Labs experiment.
  • With their switches on. Places and travel, blood labs, glucose and ketones, DNA, and your journal with mood, symptoms and injuries.
  • Logging. Meals, drinks, water and supplements, weight, bodyfat, blood pressure, temperature, lab markers, naps, workouts, runs, rides, sets and reps, and Labs check-ins.

Log from anywhere

With logging on, anything you ask your AI to log goes into your account as if you typed it in the app. It saves a trip to your phone when you are already working in Claude or ChatGPT.

  • Log a flat white and a croissant for breakfast.
  • Log two glasses of water and a magnesium supplement.
  • Log everything on this receipt as lunch.Share a photo of a receipt or a menu, and it logs each item.
  • Log the same lunch as Tuesday.Copies the earlier meal, photo included.
  • I ran 8 km along the river this morning in 41 minutes.
  • Log my weight: 168 lb.

Getting logs right

  • Say when. A meal without a time is filed by your meal schedule, the same way the app does it. Add a time for anything that was not just now.
  • Your AI can estimate the nutrition and send calories and macros with the meal. If it does not, Gyroscope analyzes the meal like any other entry, and Food XRAY fills in the rest.
  • Photos turn into text. Your AI looks at the photo and logs each item by name. The photo itself stays in your chat.
  • Pounds or kilograms, F or C. Use whatever you like. Your AI converts it, and asks when a number is unclear.
  • Lab results go in one marker at a time, with the value and unit exactly as they appear on your report.
  • Workouts from your watch are already there. Only log sessions nothing else recorded. To add sets and reps, ask your AI to add them to the workout that synced, like “Add my sets to this morning’s workout: bench press 3 sets of 8 at 80 kg.”
  • Running a Labs experiment? Tell your AI when you did the habit, and it checks off the day with a note in your own words.

Tips

  • Mention Gyroscope the first time. If your AI answers from general knowledge, add “check my Gyroscope” to the question.
  • Ask for the output you want. Say chart, spreadsheet, PDF or dashboard, and your AI makes it as a file you can keep.
  • Big jobs take a few minutes. Your AI pulls long spans a month or a year at a time.
  • Check its work. Analysis can be wrong too, so ask it to show the numbers behind a chart or a claim.
  • Use the most capable model you have. Higher intelligence settings pick better tools and make fewer mistakes, especially for analysis.
  • Be specific about time. “Last week”, “since March” and “the last two weekends” all work.
  • Check what it logs. AI tools can make mistakes, so look over meals and numbers before you confirm.
  • Your coach stays in the app. Your AI can see your coach’s current focus and action plan, and only the app can change them.

What the bridge can’t do

  • See your password. You sign in on gyrosco.pe, and each connection gets its own key.
  • Edit or delete anything. Fix a meal or a number in the app.
  • See your coach conversations.
  • Change your plan or settings, or set reminders.
  • Do anything when you are not asking.

If something goes wrong

  • Your AI says it needs permission. Open the link it gives you, switch on that category, and ask again.
  • The sign-in page says the request expired. Requests stay open for a few minutes. Go back to your AI app and start the connection again.
  • It says the connection was revoked. Connect again from the MCP Bridge page.
  • It says you hit a limit. Wait a minute and try again.
  • To disconnect, remove the connector in your AI app, or choose Revoke in Connected apps. Access stops right away.
