Health Coach

We’re developing a cutting edge health app and just launched a new high-end membership where members are paired with an expert health coach to receive coaching based on their data analytics such as nutrition, activity, sleep, and more in order to reach their goal.

Who Are We Looking For?

Someone who has experience taking clients from beginning to end in their weight loss journey, with a sound understanding of nutrition, exercise science and a clear process by which to achieve weight and body fat loss results. You should able to confidently translate that knowledge and your method through remote, primarily written chat-based coaching.

We're looking for individuals who are confident in their knowledge but also keen to learn new things and continuously refine their craft. As a coach, you would be expected to be able to provide feedback on your client's nutritional choices and workouts, along with having an understanding of the healthy ranges for different biomarkers such as heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, sleep, exercise, weight, body fat, steps, calories, macronutrients, etc. Being able to understand and provide insight into the correlations between these sets of data is what sets us apart from any other experience.

This position involves analyzing photos of people's food, their workouts, and other data to provide them with a detailed and action-oriented roadmap to achieve their goals (often weight loss, body fat or recomposition related). You would be required to provide them with advice and suggestions in the form of weekly information-based insights, as well as check-in via chat at the minimum an additional 2-3 times per week for motivation, accountability and further explanation.

Job Requirements

  • • Experience with weight loss focused clientele in health and fitness
  • • Solid understanding and practical applications of exercise and nutritional science
  • • Apple iPhone 8 or better to use the app, and computer to use the website
  • • Reading, writing, communication, problem-solving and motivational skills
  • • Receiving feedback & learning new technologies

This position will likely require an hour or two of work a day. If that goes well, there will be opportunities to take on a larger volume of clients, and help with other tasks like writing and content creation.

Prior Experience

  • • Working with clients
  • • Weight loss clients
  • • Writing workout programs
  • • Writing meal plans
  • • Guiding intermittent fasting
  • • Various dietary strategies (keto, flexible dieting, macros, vegan, intuitive eating, etc.)

Application Process

  1. 1. Pass a straightforward aptitude test to verify your expertise
  2. 2. Complete an interview to learn about your experience and philosophy
  3. 3. Start with a few hours of sample clients and training in the app
  4. 4. Take on some real clients and spend a few hours a week coaching them
  5. 5. Increase workload to a few hours each day based on your interest and availability

There's a lot of flexibility in this role since you would be working remotely. You would be able to virtually make your own schedule and work from anywhere with a good internet connection.
