How it works
Most electronics emit bright light and can be distracting. Blue light is especially problematic and tricks your brain into thinking it is daytime, since historically it could only come from the sun. This disrupts your internal biological clock and circadian rhythms and can inhibit the productions of hormones such as melatonin which help you sleep.
