Your location history is some of the most personal data there is. Here is exactly how Places treats it.
Private by default
Everything the app records is private to your account. There is no public profile of your timeline, and nothing is shared unless you explicitly create and send a share card or link.
Where your data lives
Your phone records your movement, and your history syncs to your account so it survives new phones and powers your passport and analytics. Data is stored on our servers and used to run the product for you.
Not for sale
We do not sell your location data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The business is a paid membership: you are the customer, not the product.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual visits and travels, or delete your entire account from the app's settings. Account deletion removes your data from our systems.
