How to bring your Oura, Apple Health, Garmin and Whoop data into ChatGPT and Claude

Updated October 17, 2026

Short answer

Sync each device into one Gyroscope account, then connect Gyroscope to ChatGPT or Claude. Oura, Whoop and Garmin connect directly, and Apple Watch comes in through Apple Health. Gyroscope merges them into one history without double counting, so one chat sees all of it.

Ways to get your device data into an AI

If you wear one device that writes everything to Apple Health, the Apple Health connection built into ChatGPT and Claude in some countries and plans may be enough. It gets harder with more than one device, or with data that never reaches Apple Health.

What each device brings

Gyroscope connects to most devices directly, which matters because several of them leave data out of Apple Health.

DeviceHow it connectsWhat comes in
Oura RingDirectlySleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, readiness, temperature, blood oxygen, steps and workouts
WhoopDirectly, with Apple Health as an optionNightly HRV directly, and sleep and heart rate through Apple Health
GarminDirectlySleep stages, overnight HRV, steps, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, VO2 max and blood oxygen
Apple WatchThrough Apple HealthSteps, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, sleep stages, VO2 max, blood oxygen and wrist temperature
Withings scalesDirectlyWeight, bodyfat and muscle mass from every weigh-in

Strava and anything else that writes to Apple Health join the same timeline. Every device has its own setup page.

One history, no double counting

When two devices report the same thing, your primary device wins and the rest is deduplicated, so a watch and a ring together never count a night twice.

That merged history is what your AI sees through the MCP Bridge. It can compare this year with last year across every device you’ve worn, chart your weight against your steps, or export any of it as a spreadsheet.

How to connect it

Connect your devices. In the Gyroscope app, connect Oura, Whoop, Garmin or Withings, and allow Apple Health.

Connect your AI. Add Gyroscope in Claude or ChatGPT and sign in on gyrosco.pe. The MCP Bridge guide has the steps for each app.

Choose what to share. You pick the categories your AI can see, and places and your journal stay off unless you switch them on.

Things to ask

  • How did I sleep this week compared to last week?
  • Compare my sleep this year to last year across every device I’ve worn.
  • Chart my weight against my daily steps for the last six months.
  • Find what changed in the months my resting heart rate dropped.
  • Export my weight and bodyfat history as a CSV.

When Gyroscope is a good fit

A good fit if you wear more than one device, want years of history in one place, or want your sleep and training next to your food.

Not the right fit if you only wear an Apple Watch and ask simple questions, since the built-in Apple Health connection covers that. For medical questions, talk to your doctor.

Questions

Can ChatGPT see my Oura data?

Yes, through Gyroscope. Sync your Oura Ring to Gyroscope, then connect Gyroscope to ChatGPT, and it can see your sleep stages, HRV, readiness and temperature next to everything else you track.

Will my Whoop and Oura data double count?

No. When two devices report the same thing, your primary device wins and the rest is deduplicated.

Does Gyroscope work with Garmin?

Yes. Gyroscope connects to Garmin directly, which brings in the sleep stages and overnight HRV that Garmin’s Apple Health export leaves out.
